It offers a sanctuary where you can slow the pace of life and embrace the natural world.The well-designed garden is also sustainable. With plants matched to location, it ages gracefully, providing pleasure both now and for years to come.  I am an experienced and empathetic landscape and garden designer working for over twelve years to create New England gardens that enhance people’s lives and enrich their spirits.I provide a wide range of landscape and garden design services: including on-site property reviews (where I leave you with new insights and design sketches) up to full landscape designs and/or garden plans (resulting in complete scale drawings and plant lists).   And I have worked on projects of all sizes, from small in-town properties to large country estates.

As an educator I give presentations and classes on landscape and garden design to a wide variety of organizations, including garden clubs, senior groups, and Master Gardeners.  Everything is illustrated with beautiful photographs of Vermont gardens.

I bring a unique blend of the artistic and the quantitative to all my
endeavors.  I studied landscape design at Vermont Technical College.
As a Vermont Certified Horticulturist I have an excellent knowledge of
trees, shrubs and perennials that will thrive in our climate, and as a Vermont
Master Gardener I bring a practical understanding of real gardening.
