Join Sarah Holland of River’s Bend Garden Design for a tour of a 4,500 square foot green roof installation located above Mad River gorge. The roof was designed by Cynthia Knauf (Burlington, Vt) and installed (from the membrane up) by River’s Bend Design in 2008. It has been maintained organically since then by River’s Bend with astute observation to soil pH & fertility, random weed establishment, hardiness of accent and original design sedums. Presently, they are considering native plants to substitute original sedums while at the same time maintaining the design.
Directions: From 89 south take Exit 9 toward US-2/VT-100 (Middlesex/Moretown; turn right onto Center Road; take the first right onto US-2 W; turn left onto Lovers Lane; Lovers Lane turns slightly right and becomes Demas Road; destination is on the left
