Our nursery was founded in 1967 by Elmer and Bertha Brown who brought 7 plants from Connecticut to Thetford, Vermont with a vision for a small “mom and pop’ nursery and landscaping business that would serve the Upper Valley.  Growing, selecting, selling and installing hardy norther plants for the Vermont and New Hampshire climate become the primary focus of our business….with an emphasis on the underused, underappreciated and unknown plants that would complement the tried and true.   Now after almost 60 years of business, we at E.C. Brown’s continue to serve the Upper Valley and beyond with top quality hardy plants and unsurpassed landscaping services.
