Ecotone Landscapes & Tree Care: Landscape Crew Member

Location: East Hardwick, VT (serving Hardwick, Craftsbury, Greensboro, Morrisville, Montpelier, Stowe, Waterbury & nearby towns)

Season: April – October (Seasonal) | Hours: 20 – 40 hrs/week (Part-time & full-time available) Starting Pay: $20 – $30 per hour (Dependent on experience)

Ecotone Landscapes & Tree Care is a growing business based in Hardwick, VT. We perform landscape design, installation, maintenance, and tree & shrub care services all throughout the Northeast Kingdom and Central Vermont. Join our supportive team focused on meaningful work, safety, growth, and the environment. You will get hands-on experience with weeding, mulching, plant installs, garden design, and learn practices that improve the landscape and ecosystem.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with weeding, mulching, sod removal, planting, preparing beds, pruning, and more
  • Perform tasks with high standards of care and professionalism
  • Support with tree plantings and other larger installations for a variety of properties
  • Operate trucks, trailers, hand tools, and small engine tools
  • Uphold safety protocols, maintain equipment, and ensure clean job sites

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Physically fit for manual outdoor labor including kneeling, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions

Preferred:

  • Experience in horticulture, landscaping, or tree care
  • Basic knowledge of perennial plants, shrubs, and tree
  • Certifications (e.g. ISA, OSHA, First Aid/CPR, ANSI A300 standards)
