This webinar will provide a high-level overview of the Plant Health Section and the work we do across Vermont. It will also explore how the Section is evolving its language and framing to support a more interconnected and dimensional approach to plant health work. Together, these shifts help improve clarity, effectiveness, and shared responsibility in how we engage with complex plant health challenges.
We hope you’ll join us for one or more of these webinars and take advantage of the opportunity to connect with staff and learn more about the work happening across agencies to support plant health in Vermont.
About the Plant Health Section: Winter Webinar Series
Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets
The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets (AAFM) is offering a winter webinar series for members of the nursery, landscaping, and green industry, as well as anyone else interested in plant health and stewardship in Vermont.
This series is intended to provide practical information, share context about how the Agency’s Plant Health Section approaches its work, and create opportunities for people to connect directly with staff from the Plant Industry Division, and the State Botanist from Fish and Wildlife. Topics will range from emerging approaches to communication and framing, to on-the-ground pest monitoring and nursery inspections, to pesticide certification, native plant stewardship, and collaboration across agencies to support healthy plant systems in Vermont.
All sessions are approximately one hour, held online, and open to the public.
