For their expansive home, these clients requested a better feeling of entry, a location for a future hot tub, safe access down to the lake and a place to sit comfortably by the water. They wanted easy maintenance gardens that were free flowing and highlighted the movement of the breeze off the lake.  They also requested a vegetable/cutting garden.

Our solutions included a paver courtyard for the front entry where we blended Techo-Bloc pavers, black granite and bluestone to create an elegant and practical entrance.  Planting beds surrounding the home were laid out in sweeping curves and planted with trees, shrubs and perennials selected for year-round interest which included ornamental grasses, perennials and Hydrangea.  The vegetable/cutting garden was located close enough to the house for easy access with maximized sunlight yet far enough away so it wouldn’t distract from the rest of the landscape.
